Directions to Pinyon Mountain Trail: Difficulty Rating from 2 to 2+

Take Hwy 67 north to Ramona. Take Hwy 78 to Santa Ysabel. Take Hwy 79 north to S2 (San Felipe Rd). Take S2 south to Hwy 78. At Hwy 78 Jog to the right about 200 yards and continue on S2 about 4.5 miles. Just past the Stage Coach Campground turn left (east) on dirt trail. Pinyon Mountain Trail.

Caution:
This trail will lead to very remote areas. Be sure to have adequate water and do not travel with a single vehicle. People have died of thirst and exposure in this area because of breakdowns.
