Directions to Mountain Springs Stage Station Ruins: Difficulty Rating 2
Turn off of Interstate 8 at the Jacumba exit go to the Gas stations at N 32 38.124 W116 09.982 on Corrizo Gorge Rd. Continue south to Old Hwy 80 then east on Old 80 to a dirt road running to the north at N32 37.705 W116 07.801. Then north on the dirt road to the frontage road on the south of Interstate 8. Turn east a couple of hundred yards to the underpass at N32 38.143 W116 07.619. Go under I8 heading north. Continue north about 2.5 miles passing several turnoffs. When you get to a "T" intersection at N32 40.236 W116 07.503. Turn right (east) and continue to a "Y" intersection at N32 40.174 W116 07.081. Take the left "Y" and proceed to the ruins of the old stage stations adjacent to Interstate 8 West at N32 40.458 W116 06.464. This portion of the trail is a loop which will take you back to the previous "Y" intersection if you continue south from the stage station.
